Shades of Brown

Sunshine Yellow

Pink Flamingo

I love nothing more than to wander the laneways and streets in Sydney with my camera, especially places like Newtown and Surry Hills.  I love the Victorian architecture of the old terrace houses on the narrow little streets.

The fun part of it is seeing how each owner paints their individual house and how it contrasts with the rest of the row of houses.  The houses may all share the same architecture, but the owners manage to find a way to put their own stamp on their house.

This particular pink one caught my eye one morning when I went out photographing before hopping on a bus to head off to work.  Early morning is really the best time because not only is the light nice, it’s always very quiet in the city.  The hustle and bustle hasn’t begun for the day.
